This endeavor was born purely out of our shared passion - for music, camaraderie, lifes myriad moments in between, stated Dietrich in an official press release. James, Jonathan, and I collaborated tirelessly to craft what we believe to be the ultimate cigar. The result is a true flavor powerhouse - a wholly Maduro creation, crafted with distinctive depth to satisfy those with a penchant for richer and bolder profiles. Throughout the blending process, both Hetfield and Dietrich diligently maintained journals, meticulously documenting flavor nuances, until they, along with Jonathan Drew, converged on a blend that resonated with all three. The Blackened M81 by Drew Estate is adorned with a Mexican San Andres Maduro wrapper, enveloped by a Connecticut River Valley Broadleaf Maduro binder, and meticulously handcrafted with long-filler Nicaraguan Maduro leaves interwoven with Pennsylvania Broadleaf Maduro. Upon tasting the M81, we discovered its flavors to be profoundly dark, audaciously bold, sweet, and bursting with opulent notes of dark chocolate, espresso, leather, earth, and exotic spices.
